Hello Wilson Families!

My name is Robin White and I am so excited to be joining the Wilson family as the new principal. In the spring and over the summer, I have had the opportunity to get to know some of the students and most of the Staffulty here at Wilson.  Everyone has been so welcoming and I am so thankful to be joining such a wonderful school community.

As we get ready for the start of school here are a few reminders and changes: 

Meet the Teacher Night is Tuesday, August 11th from 4:00-6:00pm

Come drop off school supplies, chat with the classroom teachers, enjoy fun activities on the playground and popsicles! Park in the lot, bus lane on Spruce, or on Ohio.

First Day of School is Thursday, August 13th

• Doors open at 8:30

• First Bell 8:45

• 1st-5th pick up your breakfast in the cafeteria before heading to your classroom!

• Arrival –Doors open at 8:30am

  • Walkers–

    • should not arrive before 8:30am 

    • Enter through the arch at the main entrance

  • Park & Walk–

    • Park in the neighborhood to the north or on Ohio east of Spruce

    • Do not block driveways on Spruce

    • Enter through the arch at the main entrance

  • Car Line–Circle Drive only

    • students remain in cars until 8:30

    • Do not pull around other cars

    • Do not drop off on Ohio or Spruce

  • Buses–

    • Keep the Bus lane clear during arrival times and dismissal

• Dismissal at 3:45

  • Dismissal for the first couple of weeks of school will take a little longer than usual and we appreciate your patience.

  • Walkers & Meeters

    • Will exit through the playground gate on Fenway.  

  • Car Riders

    • Load 5 cars at a time in the circle drive at the main entrance

    • Remain in your vehicle at all times

    • Do not pull around other cars in line

• First week for Pre-k and Kinder (Aug. 13th & 14th only)

  • Arrival 9:15 with parents

  • Enter through the playground to the Pre-K pod

  • Bus riders will be greeted at the door and taken to their teachers at normal arrival time.

Volunteers and Visitors:

• All volunteers and visitors MUST log into the SchoolSafeid kiosk using your Driver’s License in the lobby before receiving access to the building.

ParentSquare:

• Wilson is no longer using Remind.

• ParentSquare will be Wilson’s primary communication station!

  • Parents will receive emails, text messages, and phone calls through this system.  

  • As long as your phone number and email address is up-to-date on the enrollment forms, you are already registered! 

  • Just download the app to get to be able to…

    • Send and receive direct messages to teachers

    • Stay connected to Wilson’s Event Calendar

    • Get all newsletters, notes, and flyers in digital form!

Upcoming Events:

• August 25th– Bond Election & Primary Run off.  Don’t forget to Vote!

• Sept. 3rd– Wilson Open House @ 5:30-7:00pm
