At the baseball-themed Bruins of the Year event on April 17, 2025, Fourth Grade teacher Krista Grate was honored as the Richard Kane Elementary School Teacher of the Year. She was introduced by student Ryan Massey.
Title I teacher Rebecca Davis was recognized as Kane's Rising Star Teacher, an award for teachers for one to four years of experience.
She had some major fans in the crowd.
Financial Secretary Carrie Fodor was honored as Kane's Classified Person of the Year.
